About the Campaign
MSA is raising funds to assist in expansion for the 2025-2026. We hope to raise 1 million dollars, the largest amount the school has ever tried to fundraise, over the course of the next year. We are kicking this campaign off with our "Buy a Brick" campaign, where you can donate money and in return get a permanent brick with an engraving on our new outdoor learning patio.

Capital Campaign Officially Launched
11/17/2025Today marks the official beginning of the MSA Capital Campaign. We are embarking on an initiative to raise $1,000,000 by July 1, 2026, supporting critical classroom needs, expanding learning technology, and long-term investments in our educational community. Frequently Asked Questions
Your contribution supports day to day needs and long-life assets that expand learning spaces, enhance safety, and upgrade technology at MSA. Examples of things that might be purchased with expansion funds include:
- Smartboards
- Scoreboards
- Theatre Equipment
- Kitchen Equipment
- Bleachers
- Playground Equipment (on Building A Campus)
- Wireless Access Points
- Charging Stations
- New Chromebooks and Staff Laptops
- And so much more...
It also includes the donation of a brick, which will be used to build our outdoor learning patio.

If you wish to make a direct donation, you can:
- Bring a cash or check donation to the office at any time
- Visit www.givemn.org and search for our school. We receive about 93% of your donation when it’s given through this site.
- Donate through your employer if they have a matching gifts program.
Yes! And we will be announcing them in the upcoming months. These include "Classroom Sponsorships" and other events to place in the spring. You can always make a direct donation as well!
As part of Give To The Max week, we are trying to kick off the capital campaign right! If you donate before Thursday at 12:00pm central, your donation will go towards helping the student body earn some incentives!
- $15,000: Staff “event” at this year’s Dorkathlon
- $30,000: No Homework Weekend for all students
- $40,000: Administrators appear as Dragons in the drive line!
- $50,000: Administration surprise at Dorkathalon!
YES! Often times you can increase your effective donation to MSA by doing a little leg work in advance! Many companies will match donations made by their employee with just a little extra leg work. Here's how to get started:
Check with your company's HR department to see if the company will match your Give to the Max donation to MSA. They often ask "Is MSA a IRS registered non profit?", the answer is YES!
If they do match ask the following questions:
- How much will they match?
- What paperwork would you need to fill out?
- How do you or the school get the matching funds?
- What would you need from MSA to prove you made a donation?
Some companies also make donations if employees volunteer their time, some for as little as 10 hours of volunteer work. We have many opportunities for volunteers, so if you are interested and your company would donate on your behalf, please contact us (info@mnmsa.org).

There are 2 brick sizes:
- 4"x8" ($100 donation)
- 8"x8" ($300 donation)
You can choose to add a symbol from our list of symbols for an additional $25.00
4x8 Bricks have 3 lines of text. 8x8 Bricks can have 6 lines of text. A line of text can contain 18 characters. The text is centered on the brick automatically.
All text submissions are subject to approval by the Math and Science Academy. Text may be canceled for any reason by the Math and Science Academy. In the event that text is deemed unapproved, the school will reach out to request an alternative message.
Yes! We ask that you place a seperate donation using the form below for each brick due to the technical nature of filling out the custom details for each brick.
MSA does not know everyone's specific tax situation. That said, MSA is an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit, and as such, your donation may be tax deductible.
